Day 16

Saturday, 11 June 2011
  Savannah, GA
No riding.
Total mileage: 1001.1

A day of touring Savannah.

In the morning we walked down to the Savannah History Museum, which was chock full of
history--and the Forrest Gump bench.

Then we walked out back to the Georgia State Railroad Museum.

We walked around the facilities and took a very short train ride. (The tracks don't
actually leave the property).

This was not the train we rode.

Then we took a walk around the city. This is the fountain in Forsythe Park.

A typical Savannah residence.

The old Cotton Exchange.

After dinner we drove over to Historic Grayson Stadium to catch the game
between the Savannah Sand Gnats and the Augusta Greenjackets.

Grayson Stadium has huge ceiling fans.

That's Linda and Gnate Gnat, the Sand Gnats mascot.

There is a bar out in right field. We spent the last few innings out there. The Gnats won 4-2.

Tomorrow we fly home to Maryland.
