Margrett was the first child of Alonzo B. and Jeannette Clemons. Unfortunately, she died on March 31, 1856 and was buried in the cemetery of the United Presbyterian Church in Putnam.

Tombstone inscription: "age 3y 4m, daughter of A.B. and Jennett."
