I left Chadron at about 7am. Another beautiful day with a stiff
headwind. This is the day I have to camp. And the day Linda goes
home. I'm dealing with a lot of issues here.
First stop: The Museum of the Fur Trade, just outside Chadron.
I learned that "booze" comes from E.G. Booz's whiskey.
There might have been something about furs too.
Linda toured the museum with me then headed back to Denver to
catch her plane tomorrow.
She'll be back.
Bison and caterpillar.
This was a major factor today.
The war memorial in Gordon is a Cobra.
To these cows, I am the most interesting man...in the world.
Sandhills are pretty much the same as other hills, just made of
sand.
After a very long day I rolled into Cottonwood Lake. Nice lake.
Bunch of people
fishing. I set up my tent and read until it was dark (about 10pm).
My neighbors stayed up
talking until 4am. I slept poorly.
