A beautiful day for cycling.

I rolled out about 7:30 and pushed on down US50 to Sedalia.

Today I had to ride on the side of the highway with all the hills.

Downtown Sedalia. I don't know what this building is, but it looks cool.

This bike rack was in front of the courthouse.

I rode across town to the Katy Trail visitor center.
Apparently, "Katy" is a bad acronym for Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railway (or MKT).

I rode about 30 miles on the trail today.

They say this is one of the few remaining signals. The last train ran through
here in about 1987.

This part of the trail runs through rolling farm country. Most of the trail runs along the Missouri River.

They say this is the only overpass on the Trail. Yup. They do.

Tomorrow I'll spend most of the time on the trail, though it should be a fairly short day. I'm hoping to get into Jefferson City early enough to tour the capitol and maybe see a museum or two.
